Career Services for Alumni |
The Alumni Office is very pleased to announce that they have partnered with the Saint Mary’s University Career Services to extend services to recent graduates. Starting in September of 2011 recent alumni (within two years post graduation) will be able to access career counselling and job search support. It is very common for career questions to arise six to twelve months after graduation. Thanks to the partnership, Career Services are now able to work with alumni for longer periods of time in an attempt to help answer questions surrounding your career. If you are have graduated within the last two years and need help with your next step please give Karen Morash a call at 902-420-5761, drop in to see her on the 4th floor of the Student Centre or e-mail her at career.services@smu.ca to see how they can help you. You can also drop the Career Services website atwww.smu.ca/career to view their many services and resources. |
Alumni Pin |
All alumni from SMU will receive an Alumni Pin at Convocation. This pin symbolizes that you have received a degree from SMU and are an official member of the Alumni Association. |
Alumni Membership Card |
Alumni cards are available to all SMU Alumni upon request, and allow the bearer to take advantage of discounts at The Bookstore, The Patrick Power Library, The Tower, and at Saint Mary's athletics events (home games only). If you would like an Alumni Card, please e-mail alumni@smu.ca or call 902.420.5420. |
| Alumni Computer Use | With your Alumni card, you have access to the University computer system for one year following graduation. |
| Alumni Library Card | SMU offers an alumni library card at a 50% discount. This card is for borrowing books from the Patrick Power Library only, it doesn't include Novanet. |
Tower Membership Discount

| Alumni Mail Forwarding | We recognize that “keeping in touch” with other alumni is an essential service. The Alumni Association policy, established for the protection and privacy of our members, prevents us from divulging alumni addresses and phone numbers. |
Transcripts/Degree Verifications |
Graduates are often in need of official transcripts or verification of degrees for international programs. To secure these documents please contact the Registrar & Records Office at registrar@smu.ca . |
